February 12 Long TimeSorry its been so long. Kathryn has been sick and it just hasnt been a good 2 weeks for wieght loss. We did however, join a gym and our first time will be tomorrow. Cant wait! I had a two pound loss this week with no exercise. Not bad. Now it's time to start working in the gym and losing more and more pounds. Take care until next time. January 22 Well at least 2 pounds lost is a loss!! I'll take it!!Well this week wasn't my best. Being sick really puts a damper on things. But in my book 2 pounds is like 4. Here is the math logic behind this theory.......2 pounds lost really equals 4 becasue its 2 pounds I lost AND 2 pounds I didn't gain. So this week hopefully I will feel better and be able to work out more. Hopefully this week I will double this weeks loss, thats my small goal for this week. January 14 END OF WEEK 2Well we are at the end of week 2 and while things have gone well, we know we won't see the same weight loss as week 1. That's ok though. I think when I weigh in tomorrow I will have lost 2-3 lbs. this week, which is a healthy weight loss. We really got a lot of exercise in this week which we didn’t get in the first week. We have taken our dog for a walk a couple times and used the new Biggest Loser DVD's. I am currently seriously thinking about joining a gym tomorrow. Thanks to my work we get a 30 percent discount. You can't beat that. At this point, exercise is out biggest problem and as long as we keep it up we are going to see weight loss. With the exception of a few portion control issues, I think we have the diet under control. Well tomorrow will be the week 2 weigh in, so we will see if my weight loss will hit the double digit number. Good luck to all and keep fighting the good fight. January 07 Kevin's TurnSo I figured it was my turn to blog. Since May, I have lost over 40 pounds! As great as that is, I still have plenty to lose, so that is where the Million Pound Match-up comes in. There are two things that have helped me the most with my diet since I started this wonderful ride back in May. The first is 100 calorie packs. They are the best thing you can have to help with portion control. This way you can still have your snack and desert but you are only using 100 calories out of your daily caloric intake. The other is limiting my fast food to just Subway. As Jared and the Biggest Loser has shown you, you can have a great meal for less that 400 calories and 6 grams of fat.
I tried the new Cardio Max Biggest Loser DVD today. It was a great workout. Bob kicked my butt like he always does in every DVD. He is my favorite trainer, as he motivates me in the workouts and pushes me to keep going. Well, I'm going to wrap this up for tonight and say that 2008 is going to be the year of the new and improved Kevin and Kathryn. No more wondering if we can fit in restaurant booths, no more worrying about whether we can go to a concert because of the size of the seats, and no more worrying about fitting in a seat on a plane. It's all going away. Stay Tuned! 7 days inso here we are 7 days in. And I gotta say I am pretty proud of myself. I lost 5 pounds in the past week. Of course it doesn't compare to the 15-20 pounds that they loose at the Ranch (or at campus). But I also don't just work out during the day....I do have a day job. This weekend I was out of town with my mom and of course without my hubby there it was alittle bit harder. We were at dinner for my cousin's Baptisim and of course they had cake. So what do you do.......you eat the smallest slice. Of course I think back now thinking that maybe I would have lost a pound or 2 more. Since we are having temps in the 70's this week we took our dog out for a walk. One of these days I want to be running with her. Next week I would like to lose more than 5 pounds......we will see!! |
